This is what I would like to see.

These two deer pics are from a place I am hunting on. The one on the top is from September (regardless of what the date and time say) and the one on the bottom was taken the evening before gun season opened. I have hunted hard this season and all I have seen is small bucks, 4pt, a couple of 3pts and a couple of spikes. I just want to see one of these while hunting, that is my Christmas wish.

We went to the Addie and Jimmy's farm this November Saturday to see the new kids. Clare was pretty excited about the new babies and Clay was content to let them just nibble on him. I would post the new kids names but I just can't remember them. I should, them being practically cousins an all. You can ask Addie, she knows.

Are You Ready For Some Football??!!??

Well, we had our first game last night (Jamboree). Clay(#57) did really well. He had an great block, even the announcer agreed. That's the block, behind #45, allowing #12 to gain about 20 yards.







We'll just say Clay was praying while he was face down on the field.

Dauphin Island Vacation 2009

What better thing to begin your blog with than vacation. This year we went to Dauphin Island, Alabama with our cousins. Here's proof! We had a great time. Paul, Amy and the boys were so easy to have a good time with. We went with no real plans except to eat, sleep, play and get sand between our toes. We did all that and even read a lot! Chef Paul showed us leftovers don't have to be boring. He was very creative and we didn't spit anything out all week. We dined on shrimp, chicken, steak, mushrooms, migas, speckled trout, grilled veggies, and of course orange rolls and Mello Joy coffee (try it, you'll like it) for breakfast. Shawn even made shrimp corn chowder with bacon. We are not sure what time Paul actually wakes up in the mornings or if he even goes to sleep. He was up before anybody else. We have discovered that water balloons do pop underneath the deck when thrown from below. I even caught the speckled trout right out in front of the house. We made a couple of trips to Wal Mart but outside of that we never left the Island. We toured Fort Gaines and the girls and kids went to the Sea Lab. A great time was had by all and we came back heavier and well rested. Can't wait until next year!
